Drivers side of cabin warmer?

Is it just my car or is the drivers side of Z4s usually warmer? Wondered if it could be to do with the exhaust being on that side of the engine, but I guess more likely a dodgy heater valve somewhere.

Not the biggest deal, just noticed my passengers getting chilly while Im roasting lol

Wife has complained at length about this issue, so I restricted the vent in the drivers footwell with gaffer tape and it seems to have done the job
