Drivers side mirror shows down the side of the car, even at max tilt

Has anyone else found the drivers mirror angle isnt sufficient to see cars in your blind spot ?

The mirror seems to show more of the side of the car, than of the other lane\blindspots. The edge of the mirror has the usual blindspot mirror strip, but thats useless.
