Drivers side electric window issue

Hi,

Driving home over a short cobbled surface last night and went to lower drivers door window.
There was a loud bang from inside the door and the window stopped mid way.
Tried again but not moving, although I can here the motor whirring away.
Have pushed the window shut with hand and left overnight.

Is this major problem ?
Can I fix myself ?
Is the stealer going to rip me off ?

sounds like its one of the normal E85 window faults.

somebody wil be along shortly with a fix / how to :D

Yes, regulator.

Easy job. takes about 2 hrs. Just undoing bolts.

About 185GBP for the regulator. New complete unit.

There is just a cable replacement unit that i think someone has used - off ebay(??) not sure if it is any good though.

There are a few guides on here.

hello mate had the same happen on mine was not to hard to do,take one out and reverse
just make sure that the connection to the motor has the same amount of pins as the connector on your car there is a 2 pin connector and a 6 pin connector which i found out the hard way :headbang: but i just changed the motors over and worked fine.
window regulator mechanisms dont come up to often or you can buy a diy fix
