Anybody got one of these for sale ? Part number 6 935 868. Drivers door window lifter and mirror adjustment switch. Have taken mine out and dismantled it due to mirrors not adjusting. Sprayed inside with contact spray but you really have to press hard to get the mirrors to adjust.
anybody breaking Z4 same switch ?

It will work but the colour may be different. You can easily swap this with your existing one (i.e. just swap the switch, and keep your original plastic fascia).

Thanks for the advice guys, really appreciate the knowledge on this forum.

Just for clarity, if you take a look on Real OEM it will help steer you in the right direction

So if you go to the link, it's Item 3. I'm not sure why there are three, but one is clearly for beige trim and one for black. Any of these switches will work, and like I said before I recommend you swap the coloured fascia part over from your actual switch. This will ensure the colour between your passenger and driver stays the same.

Hi again. Yes looked at this before. Didn't realise the variation of part numbers just denotes different trim colours.
Removed the switch from the car yesterday and tried to clean it up but have to press really hard to adjust the mirrors.
Did think about trying this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REMOTE-CONTROL-REPAIR-KIT-RESTORE-CONDUCTIVE-RUBBER-KEYPAD-FIX-TV-ALARM-PHONE/171656481000?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
as it's the same principal of a TV remote inside the switch.

AFAIK its just colour, one says beige, one black, not sure why your one doesn't have a colour (written next to the part number) :?

Did you fully disassemble the switch? I think there are two screws at the back? Healthy scrub with some WD40 and a old toothbrush should sort it IMO :)

Hi. Yes, stripped the switch down and cleaned it with contact cleaner spray. rubbed the contacts with a Q tip and reassembled.
It didn't work at all before the strip down but now you have to apply excessive pressure to get the mirrors to move. :?

Managed to purchase a switch off a breaker for £30.
I know this is digging up a year old thread but hoping for some assistance.
I have a similar issue, with the mirror only adjusting up or left.
Trouble is, I have the switch assembly with the folding mirrors and trying to find a replacement is ridiculous.
Is it possible to swap over just the mirror moving switch? Not sure if the wiring is all the same?

I think you can only replace the trim round the switch. This was the case when I replaced mine. I had to separate the switch from the trim as the colour was different. I'm sure you will need to replace the entire switch assembly. Hope this helps.
