Hi guys, although I've been busy at work through the winter/still haven't been successful at posting pictures using the software recommended, can anyone share please, any experience of a fairly consistant water drip _ _ drip coming from seemingly bottom of center of engine area. Car has been SWORN off road through winter & blanket covered/garaged in a above-average high driveway/garage, so hoping it's not condensation in petrol tank (though I didn't manage to fill petrol up before storing sometimes suggested!). I'm hoping it's just a hose leak??

Could it be general condensation having been off-road for 6 months or so??

Thermostat housing maybe? Mines located at the front centre of the engine.

P.s. SWORN off :lol: My nan says that too. It's SORN (statutory off road notification).

..... coolant header tank seems to be a common one as well

Could be SWORN, Mrs E has regularly used some choice language about the time and money spent on the Zed :D
 
I had a small coolant leak which I traced to the O-ring on the water temp sensor. This is located on the radiator bottom hose in between the engine block and radiator fan. You can only just get your hand in to check it/change it...its a tight squeeze !
 
^that temp sensor O ring is a known small leak.
You can buy the new sensor, but you can also buy this O ring:

It can also be a broken windscreen washer tank or broken washer pump.
The difference between washer fluid and coolant should be detectable with your fingers, scent or taste
 
Just in case your puddle is similar... the telescopic washer arm is a common fault on Z's, the mechanism which lifts to wash the headlights often fails and leaks your washer fluid all over your driveway. Like this, which I experienced about 4 weeks ago. At the time I thought it was a death blow to the car but my local indie knew what the problem was just by looking at this picture:



The part was around £40 and he fitted it in less than an hour:

 
Yeah i had that part fail on mine aswell. Easy to replace, just needs the bumper removing really.
 
I had the above happen to mine also, in the end i removed all the pipes, the pumps (In engine bay, and nozzle pumps) took it all apart as much as poss and left it in degreaser for a day or 2, connected it all back together and it worked fine :D
