After.putting a new battery on the z4 on Monday, I have used it everyday to run to and from work two miles away, had a great drive from hartlepool to whitby yesterday but today it won't turn over. Exactly the same symptoms as last Monday morning, resulting in the need for new battery. Last battery was charged for 24 hours but still dead when put back on for testing.

It's a 2005 2.0 se.

This sounds like an alternator not working to me. What do you guys think? would obd confirm this and if so any ideas what it costs to replace. Cheers.
 
That or a bad connection, especially earth......you can either check those yourself or get the alternator output checked very quickly/easily at most garages.
 
Where is the earth? Could it have been affected as a result of swapping the batteries over a few times yesterday?

no idea, but following the cable runs from the battery and alternator should show you...
