Drain Tubes

Hi. I have a 2016 E89.
I want to do some preventative maintenance.
Can someone tell me or show me where the roof drain tubes are so I can keep them clear.
Also is there anything else I can do to prevent any roof issues in the future.
I suppose one way would not to use the roof

Hello Geoff they are located the back of the roof folded back position in line with the rear wheels check out you tube

Hi. I looked and they show the ones for the E85. Am I to think it is the same for the E89?

Then I am assuming the drain tube exit is in the same place behind the panel in front of the rear wheel.
Is there any drain tube in the A posts?

No because there arnt any drain tubes.

The water flows down the gulleys either side of the boot then around the rear lights.

Mazda annoyed me with my RX7.
Sun roof drain tube emptied into the sill, rotting it away.
Another 6 inches longer it could have been fitted through the sill to the floor.
Built in obsolescence i assume.

Hi.
I have taken some photos.
First one I have put a red ring around a drain hole.

Second shows where the water comes out. In front of the rear tyre

Third one shows the gulley to the rear lights


There are 2 drain routes at the top of the A post
I hope this helps other people.
