Had the car nearly a year (2003 2.5i roadster), its due an MOT in February, the drivers door has now stopped opening.
I've noticed that the little nodule/button/black plastic cap on the door that pops up and down has come off but the handle moves and the key remote works.
The passanger door opens and locks with the fob just fine.
Obviosuly this is inconvientant having to shuffle in the passenger door and squeeze over the handbrake and gearstick to get in and out fo the car.
I called a local garage, they have said they dont have a clue and recommend going to BMW, It's been recommended I take the car to either BMW or B for BMW in clydebank but being in Airdrie and working in Edinburgh Clydebank is way out my way.
Any pointers / suggestions / common issue / something i can fix myself or will it need a "special tool"?
