Door unlocked but wouldn't open.

Out and about in the car today, headed to the coast for fish and chips, as you do.
Got back to the car, unlocked it, button popped up OK but couldn't open the drivers door from outside. Opened OK from inside.
Got home and it opens fine again from outside!
Is this a common issue, and if so what should I be looking at doing to fix it before it happens again?

Cable is stretched, don't park drivers side to the sun or replace it.

Try cleaning the latch mechanism on the door also before ya splash out,has worked for me in the past.

Agree with this^ I just replaced the Bowden cable in my drivers door lock a couple of weeks back. If it had been parked in the sun it wouldn't open without a fight ! The Pelican guide is spot on too :thumbsup:20210325_171242.jpg20210325_173615.jpg

Yep, 2nd this as a initial and relatively cost affective attempt at fixing problem. It had previously used wd40 to clean and lubricate the locking mechanism but think this actually was the worse thing to do. Graphite lubes/sprays are what you need - i ordered ambersil from amazon in door lock hole and on mechanism and problem free since
