Door speakers not working

Hi, just noticed the speakers in my door cards aren’t working on both sides. All the other speakers are ok….

Any ideas on the cause and how to get it fixed?

I was told that they dont work on the basic stereo - I think there's nothing there.

The footwell speakers + the door tweeters, plus the ones behind the seats is all we have on our E86, although it looks like there's speakers on the doors too.
 
I have the sat nav with the pop up screen and I thought I had the upgraded sound with 10 speakers. Maybe I don’t and you’re right. Weird to have fake speakers in the door if that is the case though!
 
Same door card for all cars so speaker grills are always there due to design and manufacturing costs.. as mentioned base stereo has no door speakers on the e85.. fortunately its pretty easy to fit a new pair in them.. lots of threads about this. :thumbsup:

If you're brave (and pretty confident you don't have the 10 speaker set up) then you can test to see if they're fake. Get a plastic prying tool and pop the speakers out.

I was working on my car this weekend and for the first time noticed my door speakers were fake, despite having taken the door cards off several times! :roll:
