Door mirrors dulling

While putting the car back into the garage today, I noticed a dulling, almost polaroid effect on the side mirrors - Ive not noticed this before - Is it the auto dimming I wonder? Light was comming into the garage quite strongly and it made no change when lights on or off.

Thanks for that info. Ive not noticed it before (only had the car a couple of months) and couldnt work out what triggered the change - All I can think is dark at the front and light at the rear ??

If you have auto dimming mirrors there is a black bezel around the actual mirror where as non dimming mirrors are glass to the edge.

Yup, reacts to strong light from behind in the evening / at night. I love it - makes it hard to see what kind of car is behind you at night, but rather that than being blinded as you're so low

Usually only light as bright as headlights that does it though :?

I find it quite annoying... makes it hard to spot the rozza's but more importantly see the curb when parking :x

To be honest, if you are speeding and you can see the rozzers behind you at night, likelihood is you're already caught. And of course I never speed
