Door Lock issue

Hi all helpful people.

I have a problem that I recently noticed on the Zed.
It seems that the key lock on teh drivers side (obviously, there is no passengr side lock) looks like it has been pushed in or fallen in.
It still seems secure in there and not going to fall out but the problem is that if I use the key in it, the key just turns round and round and doesn't do anything useful.

Is this a problem someone else has had before? Easy self fix or is it a dealer/specialist job?

Although the remote locking is still working correctly it is just a bit concerning that if it should stop working I have no way in to my car.

Only ever seen this on cars where someone had attempted to break in. Crooks (in all their wisdom) Whack at it with a big screwdriver.

Any garage should be able to sort it, though you may need to order parts depending on what they find. Was it like that when you bought it?

No, fortuantely all was good when I brought it.
I did think about the possibility that someone was trying to knock their way in. I had a look at the lock and it didn't have any obvious screwdriver end shaped scratches or anything else obvious.
