Does my 2007 Z4 3.0i roadster have bluetooth?

How do I tell if my 2007 3.0i roadster has bluetooth installed? Do I need the BMW stereo to work the bluetooth IF my car has it installed?
I have the steering wheel buttons and the SOS and options buttons under a flip up cover at the bottom of the rear console.
But.....the previous owner installed a Kenwood stereo. I plan to get a business one but have not yet.

You will have a pairing button on the fold down flap in the rear central console.

Steering wheel buttons mean nothing.

On a US-spec model, if you have the SOS button on the rear center console, then you have BMW Assist, which included Bluetooth. It will only do phone calls, not stream music. You'll need the 4-digit passcode to pair your phone, which if don't have the original card that came with the car, can be found on a sticker on the Bluetooth module itself.

Further note on the SOS function - it's completely useless at this point as it utilized the Verizon analog network, which was shut down a few years ago. You can recover a bit of storage space by replacing the switch panel with an "oddments tray" which is still available from BMW, or 3rd party vendors.

Thank you. Yes I have the SOS button. So I assume I have to keep those two buttons to use the bluetooth? I already bought the oddments tray and have it installed. I still have the button insert...actually I have two sets if anyone needs a set. LoL

and a microphone housing on top of the steering column.

Yes I have all of that. Looked and found the bluetooth module and pairing code last night. Now I just need a bmw stereo.

Nope, you don't need to keep the button stuff - just rip it out and replace with the oddments tray.

@CrazyOneToo are you happy with your Kenwood? Would you recommend it?
Sorry for being off topic.

I'm in the process of upgrading my stock stereo and looking for a good one.

From my research Kenwood is a good option. But can't make up my mind. All the reviews I've read so far are hype garbage. Actually I've tracked down a site that tells it how it is. I was eyeing the DDX9704S digital receiver thanks to the review.

Can you tell me how bad the is the screen glare? What about the price is there enough value to justify it?

I'm open for suggestions

Yes, it is a very nice unit. It has a ton of features and settings. Being able to change face lighting color was pretty cool. I honestly just prefer OEM look and functions. As for the glare, I assume that would depend on what color text you used. And the price that would depend on the buyer. This unit came installed when I bought the car. The only issue I had with it was that my steering wheel buttons didn't work with it. But I was told if it had a different wiring harness they would work also. I recently removed it and put in a OEM stereo and will soon be selling the Kenwood unit, mounting bracket kit, mic input and mic, aux input and cable, and wiring harness as a set. It also has 2 USB ports hard wired in. So overall I'd say it's a great unit due to Kenwood reliability and functionality.
