Does anyone change the shift knob OEM for the Led one ?

Hi,

I want to do the change for this one in my Z4 E85 2007

Want to know if the installation is like plug and play or something difficult ?

and if the leds in the console/trim of the OEM shift still working with this one or not ?

Would you have pictures with trim pieces back in place? Is the new shifter any shorter than the original?

Not yet, maybe next year... im in the middle of repainting and cf wrapping interior.. its that slow. I think i compared it before, was about the same. Ill see If I still have my old shifter.. it was falling apart

With aftermarket ones it just seems to be removal of original, refit and rewire if applicable. Only thing may be is yours by not being E89 specific the shaft/fitting at the bottom MAY not be the same on your 2nd hand one as the original.

I suppose the only way to find out is put them side by side and see
