Does anybody else have a 2012 ford focus titanium X

As above, any one?

My reason for asking is I've had mine for a month or so now and from reading the brochure I though I was getting keyless entry and it doesn't have it

I have had many an argument with the dealer about it and even they are not sure if it should or shouldn't

So does anybody have keyless entry?

Thanks

It's listed as 'part of the pack' on the current Titanium X feature list on Ford's website, but as a MY2012 car the spec might be different. Best bet is to find a MY2012 brochure and verify.

MY2013 list attached...

Thanks

I have a brochure and it's ticked as standard of titanium x

When I first rang the dealer he didn't even know what keyless was I had to explain to him what it was

Are you sure it's a UK-spec model and not a EU-spec RHD imported car?

They may argue that spec is subject to last minute changes and the brochure is not to be taken as gospel, but your argument for that would be that you weren't informed of any material changes to the spec when you bought the car so would expect it to be as per the brochure unless told otherwise.

That might explain why it doesn't have it,

It's a bit of a long story.

It's a company car, but long story short I was told 10-12 weeks for delivery I still hadn't got it by 15 weeks so I state moaning at ford. I got it at 21 weeks in the end

The dealer doesn't even want to recognise that it doesn't have it or should have and customer care doesn't want to know because I'm not the registered keeper

I have a Kuga Titanium with keyless entry...Its my understanding that the Focus Titanium and Titanium x should both have keyless entry as standard and if your dealer has no knowledge of keyless entry, he cannot have sold many Fords...!!!! sounds like you should check if your car really is a Titanium

Lol it defiantly is it has the half leather heated seats, mod lights, xenon headlights and running lights

When I rang to say it doesn't have keyless. The dealer said and I quote " get your key, press the padlock that's open. That unlocks it. Now press the padlock that is shut. That looks it"

Hmmmm

Try one of the Focus Forums.... eg: http://www.fordownersclub.com/ hopefully they are as helpful as the guys on here

Just thought do you have the Power Start Button....??? (see below) or do you have to use key to start car..??

The convenient way to get into and start your car
With the Ford Key-Free System and FordPower Starter Button, getting into your car is now conveniently simple.
Ford Key-Free System
The Ford Key-Free System is a keyless entry system that lets you lock and unlock your car, without taking your key out of your pocket or bag. Sensors around the car detect the presence of the ‘passive key’ and activate the locking mechanism accordingly.

Once inside the car, starting the engine is just a matter of pushing the FordPower Starter Button.
Ford Power Starter Button
With the Ford Power starter Button, you no longer need to insert the key into the ignition to start the car. You simply push the Starter Button while holding the clutch down (or brake pedal on an automatic) and the engine fires into life.
Ford Key-Free System and FordPower Starter Button are available on:
Fiesta
Focus
Focus CC
Kuga
Mondeo
S-MAX
Galaxy

The Tit X hire car I had recently was keyless and had the start button, both a pointless PITA in my opinion, I kept leaving them in the car or jacket etc, eg when refuelling - who keeps their keys in their trouser pocket? and will be great fun when the key battery goes down, key charging faults and warnings are quite common on these

But if you paid for it you should have it.

It's more of a pain just having keyless start and having to use the key to lock/unlock it because I unlock it get in now I have a key in my hand that I don't need cos I press a button. So I lose it in the car come to get out and lock it ... grr

Lol

Thanks for the reply chaps

I'm a member on a ford forum not as good as here lol
