Does a personalised number make you a nob?

i saw 'AVE IT' on a DB9 in manchester the other day, looked quite cool.

Hah.. did you google your plate and end up here? Welcome anyway, the subject of the "nob" thing wasn't aimed at you, but the private "NOB xxx" plate on the first post.

Only thing said was that it makes you a target for the police, but then I've now removed my plate and that's definitely made me more of a target.

In all seriousness, I was formerly of the opinion that a personalized plate is a somewhat narcissistic statement. However, "Darkwing" is a play on my initials as well as referring to Darkwing Duck, so it's more of a private joke. It was my wife's idea...

One of the best I ever saw was "666" on a green Lexus. I think it had something to do with the local electrician's union (IBEW Local 666).

I would have read that as "Dark Wang"... which could be something else entirely! LOL

Does the "hapden-sydney college" under the plate mean you are still at college?! If so you're more so a git than a nob - i had to drive around in a £300 banger at uni, you've got a Z4 coupe!!!
 
Darkwang, LOL! Too bad I couldn't get 8 characters - I actually considered "DRKWING", but then people might think "Dr. Kwing" or something.

No, I actually sent my stepson to Hampden-Sydney and just use the plate surround because I've given them so much of my money.
 
Not private plate or baby on board sticker, how is a car "powered by fairy dust"which i have seen on few cars in the rear window :|
