Do I need a wheel alignment?

Hi guys

I got my 2007 zed a couple of weeks ago and I just had the alloys refurbished and replaced the run flats with 4 new vreds

when I looked at the old tyres the two front ones were both worn more on the outside of the tyre is this normal or would the tracking/alignment need doing and if so where the heck do I get it done do I need a proper alignment specialist?

The reason I ask is that on bumpy country lanes it doesn't handle as well as on a normal A road but I suppose that's normal as well isn't it :) The car is so much better with the run flats off it but maybe a low slung sports car with a firmer ride will bump about a bit :)

I replaced my run flats with normal tyres a few weeks ago. The tyre fitter said I should get a 'Hunter alignment' done. Havn't got round to it yet and not sure if its really necessary or if he just wanted more money.

Mine drives fine but I have noticed now and then on motorway a very slight jumpiness/wobblyness in the steering. Maybe that would go away with alignment (?)
 
I wouldn't expect more wear on the outside - insides yes, as the negative camber is reasonably significant on these cars. I'd get an alignment done in any case with a second hand Z - you need to search for Hunter Alignment specialists near you on the web. I am sure there is a site that will tell you where the nearest is, but I can't remember the URL - alignmycar.com or something I think.

Just as a heads up, Gravesend Kwikfit are getting a hunter in the next few weeks.

Will be getting mine over for a full setup as soon as they are up and running. :wink:
