Do I have bluetooth or not ?

Hi

Just bought first Z4 - 2004 3.0i SE SMG with only 18,000 miles and loving it. Sterling grey with red leather

I understood it had bluetooth but now doubt it - it has no sat nav but Carver Hi Fi, Business CD and multifunction steering wheel. How do I establish if it does have bluetooth / phone prep ? or was this only an option with sat nav ?

hello and welcome,

do you have a bulge in the carpet in the boot firewall (vertical bit) - to the left as you look at it? that is where the main unit is housed. Other clues are a phone type button in the pull down flap between the seats - that button is the pairing button. There should also be a phone card with the bluetooth pairing code with all the manuals.
 
Thanks for your reply - looks like I don't have BT - don't have a bulge (least not in the boot !) or a telephone button in drop down flap despite the multi function steering wheel.

Seller claimed it did - still love it though - I'll post some pictures soon. Is it posible to retro fit bluetooth ? Need to get an ipod connection too.

yes possible to retrofit BT, you can also fit a parrot kit with a BMW specific interface that is all hidden away and uses the steering wheel controls.
