Do any of us get a good service anymore ?

Be it my mobile provider that took 7 days to change my number, only took 7 days because i spent 6 hours over the week asking the same questions and being told the same lies!
Or
I had a new bumper, grill, wheel arc liners, skid pan and fog lights fitted to the Zed a couple of weeks ago, then the front end sprayed.
The fitment was fine with all new BMW parts, the paintwork was crap! Took the car back and they had it 2 days and it was slightly better but still crap, took it a third time (at this point both parties had fallen out) got it home still crap. Had to have it detailed by someone else.
Does anybody do a good job anymore ?
Car looks well now thankfully

I know it's the exception to the rule, but now and again you find someone that does give a good service.

My E91 BMW had the N52 water pump issue today and the RAC were great!

It's waiting outside the BMW Indy I've used for 4 years and I've never had a problem using them. (Although when the water pump died on my E86 they got it from BMW so it cost £500 - thankfully they get their Pierburg pumps elsewhere now for half the price)! Hopefully the good service will continue. :)

Just having a chunter.....as per!
My water pump went a coupel of years ago followed 3 months later by the ABS pump thingy, all made good by my local Indy but just short of a grand Stung a bit!

I feel like we get good service most of the time. A question of perspective perhaps.

I find is the rapport you build, taking an interest in how they’re going to do it but not telling them how to do their job.

Out of interest:
- For the work done, how much did you pay in parts, labour & paint?
- Why did you use them in the first place?
- Used them before?
- Who recommended them?

Over 2k bloody expensive.
Used them before, they repainted my old TR6, did a good job.
The prep wasn't done correctly, and even had orange peel around one of the headlamps, 3 opportunities to put right. Believe it or not the main bloke actually said to me......it costs more to get rid of the stone chips!!
Obviously wont use again

That's a fair point - good service often goes unnoticed - but we always remember the bad times!

I think some of it comes down to what you pay for, not always the case, but most times, if you go for the cheapest invariably you are going to get some grief, not saying you did, but it is generally my experience.
