As per the title , I'm getting confused with what suspension my z4 has. It's a 2005 3.0 se.

I thought I read somewhere that all 3.0s had sport suspension as standard? I'm
I'm trying to figure out what dampers I need to replace my fronts. Places I've looked never list an option for sport or SE suspension.

Yes, your 2005 3.0i SE will have M Sport suspension. Where things get confusing are on the facelift E85 as there are the Si (M Sport) and SE (non M Sport) versions.

Hey Rory - do you do this work yourself or will you be taking it someplace local.

I'm very close to you but don't think I've ever seen you. If you want a local-ish Indy ( ex BMW) man let me know.

Thanks for replies. Now to decide which make to buy - I guess it will probably be Sachs as they tend to be pretty decent.

Jax - probably be a friend of mine fitting them. Where abouts are you?

Ok I just checked euro car parts entering my vehicle details as both a 2.5 then 3.0 version, and it just gave me the same part number for front shocks for both.

I thought the m sport shocks on the 3.0 would be a different part ?

Right checked on Real OEM - theres part numbers listed for dampers then dampers on cars with M sport suspension.

When Ive selected a 2005 3.0i how can this be, thought they all had M sport ?? Im totally confused here :headbang:
