DIY roof motor repalcement...progress thread.

Good stuff, be sure to update us though if you have further issues, hoping this wont affect mine as I understand the facelift models have fully enclosed motors.
 
Cheers guys, yeah I'll definately let you know if I have further problems, can't see it now aslong as it stays dry.

My motor is now fully enclosed too :lol:
 
They all have fully enclosed motors. The enclosure is the same, same part numbers. It is just they seal the enclosure from the factory after 05 with tape..

I sealed mine with RTV.
 
Great news, surprised it was so easy TBH. Hopefully the motor will hold out, although if it doesn't you know exactly what to do for the next time.
 
Yeah I'm not really worried about it going again now. Treated myself to a MFSW to celebrate :lol:
