DIY Mistake

Was just spending my sunday afternoon drying out the headlight with a hair dryer, as moisture build up was drivnig me nuts, and all of a sudden the stereo went quiet... then the car wouldn't start. It now turns over in short bursts of succession with all the dash flashing... have i just run the batery down having had all the lights on ful beam with engine off, of have i fried something ???? Help !
 
you're right... thank god. Just managed to get it started again as I was on the phone to the RAC... and at least the head light looks like new - for now ! Tomorrows job - buy new rubber seal for rear of headlight unit...
 
i often have a habit of leaving the radio, lights and A/C on when working on something in/on the car, without the engine running.
I have got it down to about 20 minutes of "off time" before you need a jump. :P
