I've just been having a little trawl of ebay to see if there are any 'exciting' Z4 parts. I see there are several original pre-facelift rear lights. Is it feasible/possible to do some DIY work on these to make them similar to the clear rear lights you can buy? I am tending to think not...

I would think not either, it just seems too much hassle to try and do them yourself, plus the law is quite strict on vehicle lighting generally (E markings or whatever they're called) and you wouldn't want to get rear ended by some chump and find that the insurance company isn't paying out because you have non-standard lights fitted.
