my disc changer is stuck inside its compartment and wont eject, when try select the disc changer option its comes up with 'no magazine' how can i fix this?

thankfully i can play cd's through the dash board, but my favorite cd's are stuck!

Mine too, I've tried all the quick fixes including:

- tapping firmly with a blunt object (screwdriver handle) while repeatedly pressing the eject button
- sliding an old credit card underneath and tilting the cartridge up while repeatedly pressing the eject button
- holding the eject button for 10 seconds+
- disconnecting the car battery for 20+ minutes to reset the system

Nothing has worked for me and I've tried damn hard but my next step is to remove it from the centre console, take apart the player, move some cogs and lubricate the mechanisms. If there are any other ideas I'd be glad to hear em!

I had the same issue today (this morning) CD 5 appeared jammed across when I pressed the magazine eject some attempt but....... nothing. Then the head unit said 'no magazine' loaded.
S**t Ithought. :headbang:

Resolution:
I 'tapped' the magazine with the handle end of a large screw driver (soft grip type) whilst pressing the magazine eject button and after a few taps the disc retracted and out it popped. Result! :o
Checked the magazine for freedom of movement re loaded and the same thing happened!
Removed the magazine using the same method as it was stuck again, took carpet down in the boot to get to the back of the CD changer, removed fuse and checked again the unit said Check CD!
Repeated but removal of Fuse and Optic cable with ignition off replaced cable and fuse switched on ignition loaded magazine and it went through a 6CD disc check and is now working Phew!! :)

Toe-side, mine did that, then I got it working, then it nicked my magazine again and was harder to retrieve the next time hehe.

I think it's the physical changer that just fails given time. I dare not use mine any more. Last time I 'woke it up' I had to give it a really good thump. No tapping firmly for me hehe... just a full on wallop.

It may come to that (a good wallop!). This is the first problem I have had with it............. Fingers crossed its just had a bad day :) But like all of us its getting older! :o

Mine does this once a week, I find if I press the magazine in and upwards (about as hard as pushing a drawing pin into wood) whist pressing the eject button it ejects.... Push too hard and it doesn't work, too soft and it doesn't work either.
