Disconnecting Heated rear window

Hi When I bought the Z4 I had a soft top fitted under warranty, because the original heated rear window was not working.
I am in the process of buying a hard top for the car, and have been looking how to detach the wires from the soft top without damaging anything.
I have located both the black wires attached to the sides of the window, but they appear to connect behind some black plastic, and are very secure. I can`t actually see any connections at all. Can anyone advise me on the procedure to follow.

Why would you disconnect it? You simply chuck the hardtop on and the connections in thw mounting points allow the rear window to heat up.
