Disconnected battery

OK...to avoid unexpected surprises I want to make sure I know what the implications of disconnecting the battery on the car might be, before I do it ;-)

(I'm hoping a power interruption of 30 mins + might bring my Bluetooth system back to life)

I know I'll need to reset the digital clock & the memory settings on the driver's seat.

Anything else I should be prepared for...?

I didn't need to re-set my seat memory... But you will need to re-set the windows. And obviously all the MPG / average speed stuff will go from the OBC, but that is irrecoverable I think.
 
All done. Bluetooth back up and running.

I've even managed to get the windows to work as they should, but what a palaver that is!

Press down 4 times, up once and hold for 2 seconds, then down again, then up again...seriously!

You could launch a nuclear warhead with less mucking about ;-)

That's the problem with the car's computerised and networked nature. One misalignment in timing and everything goes for a Burton. What you need is a reboot button under the bonnet that does a full reinitialisation. I haven't even seen anything in INPA.

Once again, as in all engineering "Have you turned it off and on again" proves most effective :lol:
