DISA valve

My Disa valve repair/upgrade kit arrived today .........no prizes for guessing what I,l be doing this weekend.
Looks a well engineered solution too

What does this involve? Why didnt you buy a replacement disa rather than repair? What model os this for, i've been meaning to check mine for a while

This is for a pre facelift 2500....

I,l do a step by step fitting including pics

And the reason for useing this kit is.....its far superior to the OEM part,
When the OEM part wears out a pivot pin can be ingested by the engine which then causes damage ( possably terminal to the engine)

OOPs ...... All done now...... it wasnt worn but at least I know its safe now the upgrades fitted

I have to ask, is this something I should be checking on my 08 plate Coupe with 27k miles?

This is the first I've seen of an 'upgrade' over just replacing the unit with a new dealer part.

Price looks ok, may be on next month's list
