Different wheels for the e85, what do we think?

Hey chaps, I once found a thread before detailing what would fit just right, what and then explaining that a little higher/lower on the et and they'd stick out more/less, but I can't find that now.

So, what I really want to ask, is will these fit:

18" 8j et20 front 9j et24 rear 5x120 fitment.

Oh and I think they're off an old 5 series?

Oh and more importantly, what do we think of these?

I'm not big on mesh style split rims myself. I shudder when I even think about trying to keep them clean enough to satisfy my OCD.

You'll struggle with a 9J on et24 at the rear, you might just be ok with 255 tyres. ideally you should run 265 or 275 on a 9J rim

Lowering will make it worse

like the BBS but if you have 108's then i would stick not twist :?
for your offset info try this link http://www.carlsalter.com/BMW-wheel-fitments.html
simple rule with the ET is the smaller the number the more the face of the wheel moves towards the painted arch of the car .
therefore the higher the ET number the more the wheel will move toward's the caliper/inner arch

Like the wheel. But the offset I dont like.
Get one of these and the cleaning will be very easy.

I have BBS LM reps on my E91 and it takes 5 minutes to clean all 4 with this.

They look identical to the BMW Style 42s that I had on my E39 535

And they're not too bad to keep clean as long as you give them a few coats of wax a couple of times a year - but I don't think they'll fit an E85, the offset's all wrong.

I'm contemplating something different for mine, something split with a nice dish.

Haven't decided yet though!
Csls are overdone, because they look great, but im wanting something more original.

i would be worried about the offset difference, they should be 50 which means that with a new wheel of a 9.0 with 24 offset the wheel will stick out a further 39 mm
