Difference between pre and post facelift Z4

Hi all,

I've only had my Z4 a few weeks, it's the post facelift model. The only difference between mine and a prefacelift (at a glance) is that the lights are different. I've searchd for a post explaining the differences but haven't had any luck.

Is there much difference?

Regards,

Soj

apart from the different engine in the 2.5i 2.5si and 3.0si :o

which version have you got?

There were a few extra options available such as AUXIN i think...

To my knowledge:

Front and rear bumpers are different
Rear lights are different
Front lights are different 9clear with no orange)

Not sure about anything else exterior wise.

Personally i prefer the pre facelift front bumper and rear lights, but prefer the post facelift front lights.

I think the facelifts look newer and more current with the updated front bumper and clear lights all round.

Facelifts also have DSC+ with the extra brake assist stuff

3.0si with the sports pack and all the M bits and pieces (I think they may have been standard?) Black leather/interior with brushed aluminium - I think it's got nearly all the extras inc the crap BMW SatNav...

Ah! Thanks

And thanks for the other responses too. I may have to try and park up to a pre facelift to see the differences...

Also post facelift saw the introduction of the Coupe!

Good job really otherwise I may have been driving a Nissan!

Nothing wrong with a Nissan, I spent 3 weeks in California earlier this year - I rented an Infiniti G37 Coupe (made by Nissan) it was awesome!

I know. I test drove a 350Z when I was looking for a coupe. I narrowed it down to the Z4 or the 350Z. The Z4 won because of the interior (not looking like an 80's car) and the rear boot space! Nice car though.
370Z is on my next shopping list at the moment. The new Z4 isn't!

Post facelift's CD player can play MP3, old one can't.

Didn't realise that was only post facelift, quite a sweet difference, 6 cd's = about 68 full albums with ID3 tagging = SWEET!
