Diff & Gear box Oil

Hi, I'm sure the topic has been covered but I've looked and can't find a definitive answer.

2011 2.3i manual just nudged 50,000.

Taking car in for MOT later in the month, was going to get my own oil and ask them to change the gear box and diff oil while they've got it.
No other reason than it seems like an ideal time to get it done.

1. What Gear box oil should I get and how much do I need
2. Can the diff oil be changed I've read its sealed with no drain plug, I don't want to look like a tw*t when I ask them to do it and they say they can't.
3. If the diff oil can be changed what type of oil and how much do I need.

Also what's everyone using engine oil wise ?

Thanks in Advance

My car on 94k miles now.
Mobil 1 engine oil 6 litres.
Redline MT-LV 2 quarts (best oil found to stop the notchy gearbox crunch).
Think i used 75w for diff. 1 litre enough. Suck out of fill plug hole.

Cool Thanks, I'd seen your post re the Redline MT-LV. and that very nicely answers all my questions.
Cheers. :driving: :D
