had the m diff flange seal job done today at paddock in exeter today, great service again although they struggled getting nuts on the exhaust free so took the whole day instead of the 2 to 3 hours they said originally , this also put the price up from the about 200 they said to a final 348 inc the vat 
. but they had to drop the prop and the whole exhaust, change the seal, grease the splines with bmw specified grease to help with the random diff clunk we experience from time to time, top up diff replace exhaust with new sealing ing type gaskets and nuts and reinstate everything. drives fine , drivetrain feels tighter with splines greased, maybe placeabo, not sure , but peace of mind that another lille nagging job done and kept on top of issues as they happen rather than building up. a nice day in sidmouth too in the sun and a good drive back to cornwall albeit with a lot of traffic. 
they are pricing discs and pads all round so that will be my next job,not ready yet but always do them sooner than later as new brakes always look and feel that the car is cherished.... which it is! still holds its own amongst much more exotic company, and turns heads wherever i take it , two years on and still feel very priveliged to own this car.
