I did not have to work today so I put the new Collinite No. 845 Insulator wax on the car today...
Sorry, but forgot to take before and after pics.
The shine was just as good or better than the Megs. It comes in a bottle and has to be squeezed out. It has the constancy of cottage cheese, or drying Tapioca pudding. Not a liquid, but more of a greasy paste.
Goes on like grease and dries moderately quickly.
The first area I did I put too much on, but learned fast how much to put on the buffer pad.
In the areas that I put too much on, it was a little harder to get off. I had to change the buffer pad three times to get all of it off, then put a clean pad on to just do the final buff/polish.
It does take some time for it to set/cure. I am thinking about two hours or so. An hour after it was finished, I had to close the trunk and I still left a mark with my finger..
Then I had to go play Santa and deliver presents to friends. Drove over to my track buddy's house (about eight to 10 miles). Today here in Va Beach, it was 55', windy and misty..... Lots of dust being blown around....
When I got over there, my bud came out to look at the wax job. He was amazed at the lack of dust on the car... and we watched dust get blown on the car and then just fall off like a super slick surface...
Then I had to go over to another friends house. While there, it sprinkled a little bit. We watched the water sorta bead, then puddle then just run off the car, like it was being chased off..... Came out to go home about an hour later, and the car was dry with no water marks....
If it lasts as long as I hope, then well worth the $15.00 a bottle. I only used a little over a quarter of the bottle.....
