Dice text display

Hi guys, I have istalled the dice silverlining ok, it plays great BUT instead of it showing the artists name if you press button 3 (as per instructions) it just says CD1 -01 or simlar. So it make sit tricky to know what your going to hear LOL.. any one know what I've done wrong..is it the DIP switch or something.?

One of the reasons I did not get a DICE because of those sort of limitations. Sorry, does not answer your question though.

Check the two DIP switches to see whether you have enabled the display. The instructions show you which way you need if you want the display to show what is playing. I found the display pretty lame and turned it off so it shows what you are seeing and I leave the NAV set to display the map instead.

Intravee is going to replace the DICE in my car in the near future - esp since it now supports adding Sirius along with the Alpine iPod interface unit.

My z4 came with a ipod interface in the glove box, i'd love it to display the artist name etc but it just shows CD1 etc... how do i find out which type of ipod interface it is? - there seems to be a few knocking around. And if it's the right sort to show the artist names etc how do i get it working? Is there anything besides the dip switches, as i can't get to them... (behind dash)

I'm having similar problems figuring out what I have / need to get ipod working properly. It seems to vary a lot depending on your year / model.

My inteface is in the glovebox, I instelled it and it's the Icelink Plus, I'm guessing you have the BMW OEM interface.

What is displayed on the ipod when connected? Mine displays the Dension logo, and if I remove the ipod from the car and reconnect I get a warning about driving and messing with the ipod at the same time.

I would also suggest that BMW maybe able to advise if it the OEM kit, as if it was supplied when the car was new it will be on the system.
