I have been tempted to consider having a go but I am not the world’s best at DIY. I’m a bit short on patience too so there is a good chance I could do a bit of damage. The car would benefit from some paint rectification too so I think it needs the skills of a professional. It’s finding the right person with the necessary skills at a reasonable price. There was a Forum member near Gainsborough who was detailing part time but he no longer does it. I’ll keep looking I’m sure I’ll find someone eventually.. :roll:Stevo1987 said:You don't fancy having a go yourself then? I am getting a polisher for Chrismas, albeit a cheap one, and will have a go at my other car. If that turns out ok then I'll have a go at the wife's car.

Thanks for the information. What are you having done for £600? This guy has a tremendous reputation but his prices are a bit on the high side for me. I am looking to have the swirls removed with some paint correction and perhaps a ceramic coating. I want the car to look decent but not to a concours standard. Once Spring has arrived I think I will contact Jim W. with a view to getting a quotation.ChrisS1981 said:Jim will be doing some paint correction on my Z3.
Cost will be circa £600.
The ‘White Detail’ starts at £2,500...
