Some helpful soul has scraped down the side of my E89, denting the rear offside wheel arch quite badly, taking the paint back to bare metal and leaving scuff marks a foot long. Of course, they did not leave their details.
BMW have quoted me over £2,000 to have the problem fixed, including replacing the panel, various bits of trim and what would appear to be significant re spraying. Although this would obviously restore the car to perfection, I do not want to claim on my insurance and lose my NCB and would rather not pay that amount myself.
Given that I am considering changing the car when the PCP expires at the end of the year, do any of you have any suggestions or recommendations for a cheaper fix that will result in an "almost perfect" repair? A photo is below in case that helps.
