I thought I'd put up some photos of how I wired my Dension Gateway 300. Not of much interest to those that have already done it, but for those thinking about it; it might be useful?

Did you disconnect the battery while you installed? If you did, did you have to reset anything afterwards?

I did disconnect the battery. The clock had to be reset. I don't know if the seat memory has been retained as I haven't used it. I was expecting to have to put a code in the radio, but it hasn't asked for one.

Brodit Proclip. I've used them a couple of times before on different cars, and been impressed with their fit. However, on this occasion I'm not happy with it. In my other 2 cars the Brodit was flush with the dash, but on the Z4 there is a large gap between the dash and the back of the clip. I suspect that it hasn't been designed specifically for the Z4.

Why mount the ipod on the dash? surely it would be better in the glovebox as you have control with MFSW (if you have them) and through the head unit.

Just IMO, but that's where my dension is anyway

Managed to install my 100 yesterday.

Usual difficulty with the air vent removal - wasn't quite sure whether the metal clips that hold the air vent in place needed to be pushed up from inside the vent, or pulled down, so instead forced two very old and blunt dinner knives down the outside of the vent (next to the outside top corner of each vent) and then gently worked them along until the vent popped out.

Have run the cables down into the glovebox and out again as per Jammie's install above, although I'm using a vent clip to hold the dock in place. Not happy with the solution for every day use as I don't really want to leave the dock on full display when the car is parked.

I'm wondering if I can work out a solution where I install the dock in the ash tray - I've seen others do it with standard iPod docks.
