Dension Gateway 100

This was fitted to my car when I bought it - I did get it up and running having bought a cheap Ipod off Ebay, but the Ipod connecting lead had a dodgy connection (the lead which goes from the black Dension box to the Ipod) which would only charge the Ipod if held at a certain angle - so I gave up on it.

Therefore requires a new Ipod cable to be fully functional, though it also includes a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Quick Ebay search shows cables available for £12.81 plus postage (I will include the dodgy cable - not in the pictures, it's up in the loft)

Plugs in-line between the standard Z4 block connector (on my 2003 E85 anyway) and the head unit, replacing the CD changer - you then use the stereo controls to change tracks etc etc.

£40 posted.

Mine also has sat nav, so I'd like to say 'yes' but it would be pure guesswork I'm afraid - I can't see why it wouldn't though, as I have a face-lift sat nav head unit fitted which in theory should be identical to yours in the coupe!

I’m assuming then that the slim cd display on the head unit will give me the album titles and then song titles?
Cheers :D

Genuinely, I can't remember - my first thought was 'yes', but I installed my MP3 head unit very soon after which definitely does display album info on the sat nav screen so I may be muddling the 2 up.

The link below is from an install into a E46 with the business head unit - and that does mention displaying the info you're after if that's any help.

Sorry to jump on your sale thread- I fitted one of these years ago but can’t remember how to access it from the headunit, mode button only goes radio to in dash cd. Any advice would be great!

Must be broken I would guess. You access it by cycling the 'mode' button which changes from radio to in dash cd to changer then back again (the Dension pretends to be the Changer) - but only if the head unit thinks a changer is attached will you see it as an option.
