Delivery of Zed yesterday *Now with pics*

Hi all,

Just taken delivery of my 2.5 Z4 yesterday and it's got more spec than I thought. (Bonus!)

Z4 2.5
Sterling Grey
Ellipsoid Wheels
Full Leather Seats
Heated Seats
Electric Memory Seats
Park Assist
Folding Mirrors
CD Changer
Tyre Pressure Monitor

Haven't had a chance to take it for a spin yet but I can't stop looking at it!

One thing that does concern me slightly is that it is an 03 done 48k and has only had three services, does this sound right?
When I turn on the ignition it displays 5850, is this the mileage untill next service is due because it will take me ages to do that!
Surely there must be a time limit aswell?

Typically, the weather is pants today but I will try and get out for a spin and take some snaps to get on here later.

Help with the service queries would be great... :D

Your car sounds nice, get some pic up when it stops raining!

The service record seems about right to date. There is a 2 year max between services (and brake fluid changes) so just check the dates on the record in case you are due another. Your next service will be the Inspection II, which can be a little pricy so phone around for some prices. I would reccomend a good indipendant in your area rather than a dealer but thats up to you.

I think I tend to agree, stealers are too heavy on the labour charges in my opinion.
One other question, there is a button that if i press it when the service countdown is on, it displays 02 10.
Am I right in thinking this means a brake fluid change is due Feb next year or have I got that wrong?

Just been out for a blast and I love it!

Have also taken a few shots but appear to be too dim to work out to post them.

Hi & welcome, It will take about 30sec's to create a photobucket account, the services sound about right but does it have a minus or a plus in front of mileage when you sart up.

You are probably right, it would seem sensible that this is the brake fliud change date. There will be someone more knowlegable along shortly to confirm this I am sure!

Re the servicing sounds OK mines an 04 on 18k still not had inspection 1

It reminds me of mine! So I should like it!

Get to love it over the great summer we will have.

If you like to modify there are plenty on little things that you can do to make it just like nearly everybody else ride here. Rather than list them, you will play a sort of treasure hunt and stumble upon them.

I'll start you off. Your antennae looks a little large!

Need to look into some minor mods, would be nice to open up the engine noise a bit.

Plates not mine unfortunatley, belongs to the previous owner although I do have one to go on.

Whats the general opinion on these grey BMW badges i've seen on here? I reckon they look quite nice.
