Deleting Posts?

Has the ability to delete prior posts been removed?

You can only delete them if nobody has posted after you... If they have you can only edit and stick in a '.' or similar. It's always been like that, hasn't it ?

I saw that I could delete my last post on the Silverstone Classic thread. There used to be a delete button on the main post. Now you have to go into edit.

Shame as a bunch of posts simply saying "." or similar look stupid.

Funnily enough I've just deleted a post from the " Other Marques " forum so it does work - and I dropped a clanger recently that resulted in a post being deleted by a "moderator "

Indeed. You should be allowed to delete other people's posts, say 3 times a month

They seemed pretty harmless.. but then again I do miss a lot of posts on here. No idea how you all keep up with them all!!

That is one reason and often the OP will request that it be deleted which we will usually do if there is a good reason to do so...
In reality we usually just move the post to an area where it can't be seen by the board...
