Defog the headlights

Completed the step 1

Polished first one came up a treat

Second has issues with condensation

So took bulbs out and got the hairdryer on it from the rear,water collected near bottom,so dryer from outside and got to near,now looks like bird shat on it,do we think I can sand this out or to deep...GOD DAM IT

Otherwise came out well,although the condensation for some reason was coming back,ill see if it drys back

Nice work mate, to prevent the condensation coming back, i would take the backplate off again, pull the rubber sealing "ring" out & turn it round. Put it back in then smear quite a lot of vaseline over the seal area. Did this to mine when having same problem 3 years ago & been clear ever since.

Well i dried the light out again,let cool down,removed the plastic back plate,and smeared a thin line of silicone on the rubber seal and put back.

Left her in the dry garage all week,and the condensation has returned,am i missing something here

Why would you get condensation return, when the car is in a dry garage,headlights haven't been on,and rain or water hasnt been anywhere near the light??
 
Chances are mate that there is still a bit of water in there. It will disappear after time but if it was me i would get the hair dryer back out and leave it blowin in for an hour.
 
I had the same problem, the condensation cleared off the glass using the hair dryer but there was still a pool Of water in the bottom of the unit. Been a while ago now but I think I managed to feed a microfibre cloth in to soak most of it up.

Get some paper towel in there to dab up any excess water then throw a large silica gel bag in there for a few weeks, after that remove the bag and reseal the unit, i did this 5 years ago and not had a drop of condensation in there since.. You can get big silica bags on ebay for just a few quid
