Being an IT geek I decided to download the new Chinese AI app DeepSeek on my iPad.

It won’t let me register, they claim that they suffered a ‘cyber attack’ and the initial rush to get downloads can’t have helped either. Apparently they claim to have developed the app for around $5 million whereas the western world has ploughed $ billions into such things.

Maybe you get what you pay for.

They took the open source that FB released and modified it..simples..quick n cheap
