First of all, hi to all group members and secondly an apology if this topic has a thread elsewhere. I've looked but can't find it - so any pointers or advive gratefully received.
On with the question. Currently have a Z3 as a second car wich i am currently in the process of selling as i'm looking for a Z4 (wohhooo !!) My search has narrowed down to a low mileage 2006/2007 2.0 Sport (with my budget of circa £9k - fuel prices have curbed my enthusiasm for the 2.5l or 3.0l !) However, I have heard grumblings about the hard ride, especially with the 18" runflats - my 5 series has these and not only are they expensive. but noisy as well, anyhow thats aonther conversation on another forum !!. So do i go for an SE with 17" and with the less harsh suspension.? Or even possibly get the spare wheel kit from BMW and move to standard 18" for a slightly softer ride, without compromising on performance ? I'll be using the Z4 for work which is a combination of country lanes (can't wait!) and motorways. I know i'll need a test drive first and make up my own mind, but anyone who has been there before or has some observations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any advice
M
p.s. Subject to selling the Z3, will be getting the Z4 in the next few weeks and posting pictures..and joining in the fun !
