Decent mats?

When I bought my z4 2nd hand it came with no floor mats. I bought some cheap ones to get me started which constantly move around. Where can you get decent mats in the UK with fixtures to keep them in place? Can you buy official mats for the z4?

Thanks
Pedro

Hi Pedro

BMW sell floor mats that are probably the same as the ones you had in your first Z4.... ie: they fit snugly around the acellerator without trapping it. They do 2 sorts, the "city" are the standard ones and cheaper too. Mine show virtually zero wear after 12k miles. They fit via velcro strips on the floor.

Alternatively, there are many non-oem mats on Fleabay you could try.

Good Luck!

Coco mats are great! Check them out....

You can find em at bavauto.com or other places online too. Nothing but GREAT reviews. Kinda spendy though...about $125/set.

Do NOT buy the ones from bavauto.com or other e-tailers.. they're all crummy knockoffs and of varying crappy quality. The ones you want are from cocomats.com. That's my car in the pics in the link provided.. they're an AWESOME product, can't recomment highly enough!

I just put Coco Mats in my car (http://www.cocomats.com) and they are AWESOME. They cover more area than OE, are very well made, and stay put. Here are some pics (please excuse the dirty car ;))

^^^ X2! Sorry, but they look like a turd in a punch bowl - looks like they belonged originally to a 70's VW...but, they do fit nice :)

..... haven't heard that one in a while.

To be honest, I didn't like Cocomats when i first saw them. But after reading all of the positive reviews on other forums I decided to try them out and actually like them. Who would have thought Cocomats could be this polarizing

Well, it is such an extreme contrast that you can't help but to focus on it. The fabric and pattern is such a 'polar' opposite to the floorboard fabric and pattern that your eye is drawn straight to the contrast...sort of like a strobe light, quite hypnotizing :P . They do look like they fit quite well though, and would stay in place. And if you're happy with them, then that's all that matters

Hmmm, since I already have FnI on my bad side regarding additions to my Z, I may have to look into these :nahnah: . I have heard good things about them, so we will see.

AUTOSTYLE http://www.autostyle.co.uk/

They were very good quality when i last used them for my last car had 3 sets made up by them including a show set will be phoning them myself soon to see what they can do for my Z4.

These are the mats in my last car all very good quality including the boot mat.

Just bought my OEM mats at Dealerfit.com $75 shipped. Haven't installed yet, but look nice. Kinda thin though.

mine where same thickness as the old mats, did yours come in a BMW box??

Yes, mine came in a BMW box, embroidered "Z4", just seemed a little light weight compared to after market mats I've bought in the past. I guess that's because they are not rubber backed.

I got the OEM rubber and carpet versions and they fit perfectly(obviously). I always steer people away from those universal ones. They can be dangerous because they move around so much and could bunch up under the brake pedal.
