Hi all, looking to buy an SDrive 20i and would be interested to hear what deals anyone who has bought or ordered recently have managed to get. Seems to me that when you need to finance (as I do) there's no point in buying a nearly new one, as the lower interest rates and dealer deposit contributions on a new one make that a cheaper option. Unfortunately I appear to have just missed out on a 2.9% finance deal (now 5.9%) but Msport is being thrown in for nothing until the end of the year. I drove an 18i Msport on 19" alloys yesterday and was really pleasantly surprised how good the ride was, from what I had read I was expecting it to be really hard but it was fine (better than my wife's 118 SE weirdly). I would go for 18" wheels anyway, but would no longer delete the m sport suspension.
When I said I might wait for the 2.9% rate to come back I was advised that it never will "BMW are moving away from the 2.9 rate". I guess that may be true, and interest rates probably are on the way up, but of course it could easily be sales pitch. Not sure whether to wait for the next quarter to see what offer emerges then, but that would risk losing the free m sport upgrade.
Am also wondering whether there's any chance they might cut the price of the 28i, which on paper is the one to have but is surely not worth £4.4k over a 20i?
Anyone's thoughts/recent experience would be good to hear.
