Is inspection 2 really 900 notes???

The last service on my 330i cost me £1743, and that was with a discount for the car being 6 years old. I'm looking forward to the Insp 2 being only £900.

I managed to get my normal Z4 Isp II for £260 compared to the last offer £360 from sytner...

So the last Inspection 2 (on it's own) was not actually £1743 then

New radiator & expansion tank might have been £400
New discs & pads are likely to be £400
Lower control arms are likely to have been £400
MOT would have been £50

So you've got over £1000 of repairs at the same time as your inspection 2 - making the actual inspection 2 less than £700.

You are of course quite right. What I should have said is that I'm looking forward to a bill that's less than £1k for having a BMW serviced, since I wouldn't expect any of the above items to need replacement on my current car abnd if they did most would be under warranty anyway.

I wasn't suggesting that a Insp 2 on a 330i is cheaper than an M. Far from it. What I was suggesting is that it doesn't matter what you own, if a few jobs present themselves at once then it's going to cost £££. Which makes the case for owning a newer M car vs. an older BMW (on servicing costs at least) stronger, in my opinion.
