I had the dealer install an ipod cable about 5 years ago, and I have been having some really odd issues lately. A lot of the time, my phone will recognize the cord is plugged in, but when you hit mode, the car won't recognize it. Also, sometimes if the cord is jiggled just a little bit, the sound will cut out, from one side or all together. My guess is that is simply a faulty cable.
I want to replace it myself however, I have no clue how they installed it, it runs through the glove box, and into the bulkhead.
Any ideas as to how to get at it and switch it out? Thanks guys!
