Hey all,
My Z4's roof motor died this winter just gone... I've got various quotes and garages around me want around 800 inc VAT to replace the motor... But I've seen that there are a few users on this forum who've got a decent amount of experience replacing the motor (and reviving dead ones!)
I was wondering if anyone who has experience would be willing to help me out? I'm located in Telford, Shropshire and am willing to drive an hour or two out to wherever the help is located. Of course I'm willing to pay as well as offering a hand, albeit a clumsy one, during the process.
Ideally I'd like to see if my motor can be revived as I've seen around here before and if it can't, I'd like the motor re-located into the boot so that I can easily swap it out to a new unit without having to take the roof off again and what not (as well as protecting from future damage). I do also believe that the water drains are clogged or something, I removed the weird rubber drain slit plug things which were gunked up and some water came out, but you can still hear water jostling around somewhere behind your head!
Long story short:
1. Will travel to, pay someone and (try to) help someone (try to) revive my dead motor, and relocate it to the boot.
Thanks!
