deactivate airbags?

Is it poss to deactivate the passengerside airbag so I can use a baby seat? I don't think my 55 plate has a dedicated deactivation button, unless you can tell me otherwise...... What would happen if I took the fuse out for the system? Cheers

Yes there's a dedication deactivation button. it's hidden though.
Open your passenger door. Now look on the SIDE of your dashboard (not the front of your dashboard). Where your heater vent is.

you'll see a key-hole lock to deactive your passenger airbag.

edit: just read in another post that not all Z's came with the disable function.

it was an option which I think I read somewhere hear that cannot be retrofitted! (might be wrong)

Would'nt pulling the fuse out then throw up an Airbag warning light :?

Cheers gents! I've no option to turn off on side of dashboard, and I thought the airbag light would show once the engine was switched on. If I put the fuse back in and had the warning light turned off, would that then reinstate the airbag system proper? Anyone know which fuse is the one for the airbag?
