De-tangoed?

So as I'm still officially a noob I think I'm allowed to ask this without fear of being ridiculed, not that I think anyone on here would as everyone seems friendly enough. De-tangoed? My memory of this is an old TV ad where an overweight bald bloke painted orange face palms some other bloke but in reference to z4s I'm just not seeing it. While I'm on one maybe some could tell me what a splitter is (not the fella from the amphitheatre scene from life of brian, one of my favourite films). Many thanks in advance.

Change the orange indicators for clears, generally on the front, most likely involving huge amounts of effort and/or cash.

in answer to your second question: a Splitter is a 'lip' that attaches to the bottom edge of the spoiler (usually front) , they come in various shapes and designs

Just got home from work and checked, my side indicators are clear and the headlight lenses also, just looks like an orange bulb. Looks like I've been de-tango'd and didn't even know. Sefton council went a bit mad with the speed bumps round here a few years ago so I think I'll have to give the splitter a miss, already got a few grazes on the underside of the bumper. Thanks for the info guys, any other terms I should be acquainted with?

The facelifted cars like yours from 2006 on had clear indicators and restyled rear lights so you don't have to worry about de-tangoing.

Phew, thank god for that. I thought I'd been de-tango'd without realising but it turns out I've had a facelift instead.

 You'll get used to all the wacky phrases eventually

Try to stay away from the stubby/whippy debate - it refers to the radio aerial, and once people get started on that it usually runs for pages!

You've done it now Mr Tidy, I started looking into whippy or stubbys. I'm with firebobby on this one, I like my whippy.
