DCT Sump leaking again.

So, last sump leak in 2021, changed the crappy plastic sump, full oil and filters.
Since then cars done a5k miles and during recent engine ooil level sensor change it was noted to be leaking again.

I have imported a replacement aluminium pan and uprated gasket from US.

My question is which grade DCT oil do I need?
Usually buy all my oils from opie oils, if you knw the answer have a look at the linked page and let me knw which one i need please.

Thanks for all the help guys

I’d say

Febi Bilstein 39070 Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid - DCTF-I
And the 39071 (5L)
Or
Motul Multi DCTF Synthetic Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid (Dry & Wet)

If you are doing it yourself you will need new bolts and some sort of syringe/pump to re fill it,
With only 5k miles I see no reason why you couldn’t re use the old oil (or most of it) if you a collect it in a clean container.
Are you sure it’s the sump and not running down from above?

FWIW pls check the pressure filter plastic housing /o ring and snap ring..

I and two Indy’s incorrectly diagnosed oil pan leakage..

5 oil changes, two different alloy sumps later I saw it was the pressure filter housing…

Stock BMW fitted and 10k miles later still no weep..

FWIW I WOULD NOT reuse the fluid..too much risk of contamination on a Swiss watch type assembly..

Thanks fellas for the advice - reusing fluid was never an option.
Its clearly the sump, car is pretty oil tight (for a BMW) in all respects, so far.
So far as I am aware DIY isnt an option as its changed using some sort of rig whilst the car is running, removing the sump only allows around 3 litres to drain whereas the whole system is around 12 litres including cooler and pipes!!
@B21 - where did you get your alloy sumps from if you dont mind me asking?

Total system capacity is 7 ish litres..

You can partly fill to about 5.5 ish litres

The top up with the engine running procedure adds about 1-1.5 litres

If you have 3 litres coming out then you’ve lost a lot

I have a Polish M DCT via eBay and I imported a seems legit one from US

I’d still urge a check of the pressure filter o ring ..two high class Indy’s both missed it..when it leaks it seems to all the world like a sump leak

Mine is now leaking from the mechatronic cover gasket on the right side and is a gearbox out job to replace. My BMW indy garage is sorting it once the lower control arms inner bushes are in stock, we are swapping them for power flex ones.
